Lumen is a flexible Downtown West event space for weddings, celebrations, showers, mitzvahs, corporate events, private dinners and more.
An expansive main event floor, mezzanine and commercial kitchen at 2201 Locust Street. Plan a ceremony, dinner, reception or night of dancing—with a layout shaped around your occasion.
You coordinate your own event team. Bring your own licensed caterer, planner, florist, DJ, photographer and other vendors. Arrange your own valet or transportation if desired. Lumen provides the space. You make it yours.

Warm uplights
Bring rechargeable, freestanding LED uplights. Choose one warm-white or amber setting and position them at approved wall or column locations.

Flameless table glow
Battery LED votives or pillar candles create a soft glow in glass holders. No ceiling rigging is needed for this look.

Your team sets the mood
You, your planner or your rental supplier handles delivery, setup and removal. Lumen does not provide styling or lighting setup.

Plan it into your rental
Confirm placement with Lumen and leave stairs, exits and walkways clear. Charge and test equipment before arrival; complete setup and removal within your rental hours.

Who handles decor and event lighting?+
You or your chosen vendors supply, set up and remove event decor and lighting. Lumen does not provide event styling or setup. The concepts show portable uplighting and table lighting; these are not included in the base rental. All setup and removal must fit within your agreed rental period.
What are the payment terms?+
After Lumen approves your event and you sign the rental agreement, a 25% deposit is due. The remaining 75% is due 30 days before the event. Bookings made within 30 days require full payment. Cancellation and refund terms are stated in your rental agreement.
What should we do before leaving?+
Please remove personal belongings, decorations, food and vendor equipment; place trash and recycling in the designated bins; and leave the venue reasonably tidy. Setup and cleanup must fit within your agreed rental period. Any additional cleaning requirements or charges will be disclosed in your rental agreement.
What is the capacity?+
Capacity depends on layout and event configuration. Ask us about your guest count.
Can I bring my own caterer?+
Yes. Outside caterers are welcome, subject to licensing and insurance requirements. Confirm the requirements with Lumen when booking.
Can I bring my own planner?+
Yes. Bring your planner, your ideas and your team.
Can we hold both ceremony and reception here?+
Tell us about your plans. Confirm layouts, capacity and room-change requirements with Lumen when booking.
Where do guests park?+
Street, garage and event parking options are available throughout the surrounding Downtown West area.
Can we serve alcohol?+
Include your plans in the inquiry. Confirm alcohol service, licensing and insurance requirements with Lumen when booking.
How early can vendors arrive?+
Confirm vendor arrival, setup, breakdown and event hours with Lumen when booking.
Can caterers reserve a date for clients?+
Caterers and planners can request a courtesy hold using the client inquiry form. A hold is not confirmed until Lumen confirms availability and terms.
Can we tour the venue?+
Yes. Request a walkthrough in the partner form, or mention a tour in your event inquiry. We’ll coordinate a time.
